Meet Letitia Lapidus

Meet Letitia Lapidus, the visionary founder behind K9to5 Jersey, a beloved doggy daycare that has now transformed into the Barkley Club. Letitia’s story is a testament to her unwavering love for dogs and her unrelenting pursuit of a dream.

Letitia’s journey took an unexpected turn when she decided to leave her career as an accountant behind, yearning for more than just office walls. She listened to her inner voice, knowing there was more to life than numbers.

Driven by her passion for dogs, Letitia embarked on an incredible adventure to create a haven for our furry friends, a place where they could learn, play, and thrive. She started small, with just two dogs in her home back in 2008. The demand for her unique daycare grew steadily, catering to professional dog owners who needed a trusted place for their beloved pets.

Did You Know?

  • Did you know that Letitia’s entrepreneurial spirit runs in the family? Her father, a hotelier, once told her she’d be the one to “make something of herself.” Letitia’s journey honors his belief in her.
  • Now, with over 600 dogs visiting her daycare each day and a team of six passionate staff members, the Barkley Club has become a thriving community. Letitia’s vision extends beyond the traditional daycare, aiming to provide dog owners with a one-stop-shop for all their furry friends’ needs. The Barkley Club is more than a business; it’s a place where dog owners become part of an exclusive club, enjoying discounts, networking, and shared experiences.
  • Letitia’s favorite trait is her adaptability, a quality that has guided her through her transformation from accountant to dog daycare entrepreneur. Her spirit animal is the leopard—strong, adaptable, and fiercely independent, just like her.
  • Today, Letitia’s journey continues as she plans to franchise the Barkley Club, bringing her vision and love for dogs to more communities across Europe. Her brand story is a testament to the power of following your passion, embracing change, and creating a community where dogs truly are a part of the family.
