I’m a portrait photographer with a commercial background—or maybe it’s the other way round.
Born in Jersey, with a French mum and a Jersey dad, I grew up surrounded by creativity, business, and a bit of European flair. After studying business and trying my hand at spreadsheets, I picked up a camera—and never really put it down.
I spent over a decade in Dubai, working with global brands, magazines, and celebrities. But after the pandemic brought me home, I rebuilt my studio with a new focus: portraits that make people feel amazing about themselves.
Today, I work alongside my wife Anilu—stylist, studio manager, and creative powerhouse. We run Oliver Doran Studios between Jersey, Spain, and the UK.

Style is power. Clothes speak. I just help them say the right things
I was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico—land of spice, music, and very dramatic telenovelas. Since then, I’ve lived in the U.S., Europe, Jersey, and now Spain. The suitcases are always packed. The heels? Still high.
At Oliver Doran Studios, I look after everything before the flash goes off: wardrobe consultations, personal shopping, and full styling on set. My goal is simple—make sure you look incredible, but more importantly, feel it. Confidence is the best outfit. The rest is just accessories.
I believe in fashion that’s kind—to people, the planet, and your skin. That means sustainable pieces, no fast fashion, and clothes that actually work for you.
Also: I’m a trained chef. So yes, I style like I plate—balance, texture, and a touch of drama. And yes, I’ve cried over beautiful tailoring. I’m Mexican. We do passion, not moderation.

Based in Jersey, but rarely standing still.
I travel regularly for private and commercial commissions, working across London, Paris, Marbella, and Dubai—often with brands like Cartier and Dior.
My work’s been featured in GQ, Esquire, and Cosmopolitan. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to photograph a few names you might recognise—Robert De Niro, Lewis Hamilton, and Colin Firth, to name a few.
