Since a young age, I have been involved in weddings some-way or another… my family business is in hospitality and wedding planning. Actually I used to organise Wedding receptions for many years at the Revere Hotel Jersey and also in the prestigious Belleek Castle, Ireland. FYI Belleek Castle is of the most incredible places to celebrate weddings I have ever seen and relatively affordable too. Since then my passion and ambition in photography has over-taken my hospitality career.

For me the essence of great wedding photography is the balance and ability to mix between discrete photo journalistic/reportage style shots with also the ability to adapt to any lighting situation. Photography is indeed about lighting and I make it my mission to be able to creatively use a mix of ambient and flash to create real timeless photos.

The reportage style shots are all those moments that are caught when my subject is unaware. No posing… No fake smiles, just natural raw un-tainted moments that capture and convey people’s emotions in their true light. Whether they are feelings of happiness, fun, excitement, nervous, frustrated, even scared. All weddings are full of emotions from beginning to end and I try very hard to capture as many as I can.

The other side to my wedding photography is a little more like a fashion shoot. I have experience shooting fashion for magazines. When it comes to photographing the portraits of the bride and groom together and individually, and also the best men, maids and family… I believe as the main photographer, I must help to create the moments or to fuel the creative commeraderie between myself and my subject(s). This can be by showing them the most flattering way to pose or to introduce creative fun ideas into the mix so that, purely on a selfish level, I can make some striking images for my albums.

This brings me to the wedding album. I, throughout the wedding, shoot with the final product which is the album in mind. The wedding album is the one thing that will stay with you for the duration. Your kids and “inshalla” grand kids will be showing your album to their grand kids!. Trust me when I say this…. everything else is a fad…. It will not last the test of time. DVD’s will become extinct and replaced with the latest technology. Your cool iMac’s hard drive will fail eventually. As beautiful as they are your wedding flowers will die, the delicious food you serve will be eaten (by me too hopefully!).. Just think 10 years ago we were all still using tapes. Do you own a VCR player today?

So, I believe it is my duty as a professional in the wedding photography field to put together simple, timeless albums which are hand crafted to the highest quality available in today’s market.

I’ve searched long and hard for the most beautiful albums from all over the world. Albums that are garanteed to last decades if not centuries. Also, my designs are simple, clean and elegant.

Here are a few of my favourite captures in weddings I have covered over the last decade.

For more information, please contact my manager on – she will be able to assist you with my wedding packages and also set-up an all-important meeting for us.

Look forward to seeing you.

Kind regards,
