The stuff of Legend :: colin firth

I’m truly honoured to have met and photographed Mr Firth at the Burj Khalifa, last December. He was actually very easy to photograph and as you can imagine was an absolute gentleman! AWhile the rest of my team with photoSolutions.me was photographing the illustrious Chivas Regal Legends Dinner, I was trying to get the best lighting for Mr Firth before he turned up. I posed my assistant, Joel, in exactly the same position as in the above photo only seconds before Colin walked in.

Stop Press :: Beatles visit Jersey Channel Islands

Thought i’d post this one as it means a lot to me !

Most of this video filmed at the Revere Hotel, my late grandfather Marshall’s business. You can see him at 1.35mins walking in the background…. fantastic!

Yes this was filmed in the 70′s!

Chivas Legends Dinner 2011 with Sir David Frost

The 2011 event took place on the 13th of December at the Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa and was attended by Dubai’s leaders of business and other luminaries who enjoyed the Chivas Regal brand experience and the true sense of chivalry that it stands for.

Sir David Frost delivered the keynote address and shared some experiences from his fascinating life, during which he has had the opportunity to interact with some of the most important people of our time and has witnessed a number of key moments that have influenced the course of modern history.

Alex & Georgina’s wedding at Bab Al Shams

Alex and Georgina. Swiss + British. What an amazing fusion of love, passion and life… the wedding was held at the exotic Bab Al Shams Resort in true Arabesque style. This spectacular desert wedding was a show in itself like a extract out of a adventure story. Many of their guests came from overseas and were treated to a wedding like no other!

JBR by night

Jumeirah Bech Residence at night

This shot was taken from the beach with my trusted assistant Joel. We worked as a team to demonstrate how creative you can get in the evening… especially in city environments. I was conducting a night time photography class for a Filipino club called Tropa. All ex students of one of the most well establishshed universities in the Philippines.

Infact, some of the group were only using compact cameras… and they got very similar results compared to my Nikon D3s !!! Just to prove that its not the camera you use its what you do with it. I’ll try and get the shot from the compact so you can see the difference !

BTW: thats me in the shot silhouetted.
