page-7My lucky break shoot working alongside leading fashion director Esther Quek was this shoot marked the beginning of a long working relationship with her.

We spent the day in the desert in December 2011 kicking of at 4am to get the first light. Powerful Pro Photo lighting rented at Hot Cold Rental was used to match the harsh intensity of Dubai’s desert sun. This was my first fashion shoot for the Rake Singapore and the beginning of many more.

The Rake Magazine struck a deal with IWC for an advertorial piece with Lewis Hamilton and I was the lucky boy to go and photograph it. It was in Doha at the QIEC (Qatar International Exhibition Centre) and working alongside fashion director and stylist, Esther Quek. Emiliano Arganaraz also produced a video of the shoot, you’ll have to watch this space to see it once it’s released.

This was shot in DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre), a really amazing amazing location. We had to beg to get permission from the DFTC for this shoot to happen.

With only 20 minutes to shoot and already other photographers from press houses eagerly waiting for their time with the Michelin chef, Giorgio. We fired off a few safe shots with a couple of strobes and umbrellas. Wanting to see how much I could push him,  i asked Giorgio if we could head for the kitchen to get some “action shots”. He agreed! Jihane the editor of Aqua Vitae Magazine, whom I was shooting for gave me the nod and Giorgio was keen as mustard!!.. or truffle mybe!

Chivas Legends Dinner 2012

Colin was invited to be the 2012 legend for the Chivas Regal Legends Dinner. We took this portrait before the event in a private room. Colin was extremely courteous and was very easy to photograph. He is an absolute gentleman just like in some of his characters getting him to pose was a breeze. After the shoot, we went downstairs to cover the event with the rest of my team. Special thanks to Joel Gabriel who assisted me on this shoot.

Timothee is an extremely passionate Osteopath that fixed my back while skiing in Courchevelle. I like this raw portrait – straight out of the box – no editing and natural lighting.
